Limoncello

My husband is a big fan of Limoncello, being Italian and all.  He always said he wanted to try to make it at home so we did a little research and found a great recipe that can be done in 4 days.  We came across Giada De Laurentiis’ recipe on Food Network.  It’s super easy and all you need are some lemons, a potato peeler, vodka, water and sugar.  Here is the link to the recipe.  Source: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/limoncello-recipe/index.html

  1. I’ve been talking about doing this for ages. I just need to do it. Has to be better than store bought.

    1. I think it actually does taste better. 😉

I was just thinking about this the other day because I did a post on a brand of limoncello that is made locally in Philly. It made me wonder how hard it would be.

We made quite a lot of limoncello for my sisters wedding though the recipe I used took a couple of months to work.

It did taste fab and gave us chance to use up the vodka we had that no-one really drinks.
