Brazilian Chocolate Truffle (Brigadeiro)

IMAG1080-1

Well it’s that time of year where all we do is eat baked goods, desserts and comfort food.  Another of my favorite desserts would have to be Brigadeiro.  It’s another favorite in Brazil and very common there.  It’s basically like a chocolate truffle.  Its rich, chocolate fudge with sprinkles of your choice.  I figured I would make them a little Christmasy.  This is a fun dessert to make with the kids and for you to enjoy with a glass of red wine.

This recipe can be found in my new cookbook.  Purchase your copy here: http://www.lulu.com/shop/search.ep?keyWords=Homemade+Delish&categoryId=107107 or if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Thanks for reminding me about brigadeiro!! My amazing Brazilian roommate used to make this all the time when we lived together in Italy. I might have to try it out this weekend.
