This year I am excited to be part of the CF Charities lip sync battle. Not only will it be an entertaining night but we will be raising money and awareness for this important cause. Below you will find some information on this charity and event.

CF CharitiesCF Charities is announcing their annual Super Car Show Weekend held on June1-2 to celebrate the achievement of local youth and raise awareness for expanded school- based health services and educational opportunities.

The weekend begins with the Fueling Bright Futures Gala on Saturday, June 1 at the Bellevue Hotel. Over 300 supporters will gather for a fun evening featuring a silent and live auction, awards, and a Celebrity Lip-Sync Battle. On Sunday, June 2, over 10,000 attendees will enjoy the Super Car Show held at the Wells Fargo Center. Spectators will catch a glimpse of over 400 of the best rare and exotic super cars, exotics, muscle, and collectors.

According to Dr. Larry Caplin, DMD, Board Chair of CF Charities, this weekend is designed to help raise the needed resources for vital enrichment programs in our city, “We are excited about the weekend and our mission,” says Caplin. “We are fully committed to equip the next generation of young leaders with the tools needed to thrive and succeed.”

Since 2008, CF Charities has been a community stakeholder through their advocacy in college and career readiness and access to healthcare. Throughout the year, the charity co-sponsored the College Signing Day and recently launched the Health Attitude campaign with Rodney McLeod and Tre Sullivan of the Eagles to connect youth to needed medical, dental and vision care.

In addition, the charity has teamed with local Radio Personality K. Foxx, other celebrities, and NFL athletes for the annual Lip Sync Battle. “Many girls lack the opportunities to be exposed to different experiences that can impact them in a meaningful way,” shares Foxx. “I’m performing in the competition to help bring those programs to our young ladies so that they feel empowered and supported by caring adults.”

The weekend also features a student scholarship ceremony, a police-escorted road rally, Philly Drive for Kids, where car enthusiasts meet at the Wells Fargo Center before the show to travel through Philadelphia for a 5-mile drive. This is the eighth annual fundraising weekend, and the goal is to raise over $250,000. Super Car Show tickets are now on sale for a donation of $5.00. Visit CFCharities.org. There, you can donate, volunteer, register vehicles and purchase tickets.
