So this recipe is special to me. I recently got to review some of my favorite cheeses and butter from Kerrygold.
I decided to change up Cordon Bleu and put my own style to it using their products.
Ingeridients:
1 to 1 1/2 lbs of Thin cut chicken breast
1 Tablespoon of Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
Garlic Powder
2 Tablespoons of All-purpose flour
1 cup of Milk
1/2 cup of Heavy cream
2 Tablespoons of Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter
1/4 lb of Ham
1/2 cup of Shredded Kerrygold Reserved Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup of Shredded Kerrygold Aged Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup of Shredded Kerrygold Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese
9 oz of Brussel Sprouts
1 med onion
3 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons of Kerrygold Garlic and Herb Butter
Chicken Prep:
Season chicken breast with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Place chicken in frying pan about 7 to 8 minutes on each side depending on how crispy and how thick the cuts are. You want the chicken to be golden in color.
White Ham Cheese Sauce Prep:
Melt 2 Tablespoons of Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter add flour and whisk. Add Milk and heavy cream. Continue to whisk, while adding shredded cheese a little at a time. After cheese has melted put ham in and whisk.
Brussel Sprouts Prep:
Melt Kerrygold Garlic & Herb Butter. Add garlic cloves and onions & cook for about 4 minutes. After that add Brussel Sprouts, salt, pepper and garlic powder. (Tip: if you see that the onions start to turn too brown, quickly lower heat and add a splash of water). Place lid on pan. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes per side. ( Tip: Remember you can always try your food if your not sure. Benefits of being a cook) =)
When serving, pour the white ham cheese sauce on top of the chicken, and enjoy! If you try this recipe, I would appreciate your feedback. And of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 🙂
I never knew Kerrygold had CHEESE!! I’ll have to look for it!
Jane, their cheese is “AMAZING” they have so many kinds. If you like dry cheese you should try their Dubliner and Cheddar one of my favorites.
I love kerrygold… there is nothing in the world like Irish butter! (I am somewhat biased!)
It really is amazing…have you tried there cheese??
Hi! Thanks for stopping in for my beer post. Maybe we can set up a trade, TastyCakes for Irish butter and cheese!
How about you send me some beer and ill send you some Tastycakes. =)
Unfortunately I bet you can get most of the ones I can get! These were all English ales, there aren’t many Irish craft brewers. Guinness (Diageo) has the country sewn up.
