I love using my microplane in the kitchen.  It’s such a great little gadget. I use it for grating garlic and cheese,  to zesting lemons and oranges. 

With razor-sharp edges and comfortable grips, grater creates flakes of hard cheese, chocolate and zest. Top salads and pastas with Parmesan Reggiano or add natural flavors to lemon crème brûlée or vinaigrette. Stainless steel plane grates fine, lacy wisps from even the hardest cheeses. Soft-touch handle eases fatigue. 

When cleaned in the dishwasher, it holds up well. Plus, the Microplane Classic Series Zester/Grater has a hole in the handle for hanging and a protective cover for easy storage.
