A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of testing out the new Buick Encore. I think It’s safe to say Buick has become my foodie car. Encore I say is the baby of the Buick brand, because it’s tiny and cute. It’s perfect for our millennials out there. The interior is super stylish with all the great features, an OnStar system with Wi-Fi connectivity and a new Experience Buick option package that combines: a navigation system, a power sunroof and chrome alloy wheels. The only things that I have to point out about the encore is its manual seat adjustment and the screen on the dash board are a little small for the LCD display. But I have confidence that Buick will adjust these things. You can’t beat the gas mileage 25 city/ 33 highway for a mini SUV. This little guy seats 5 people with a trunk size of 18.8 cubic feet. Encore has a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission are standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The Encore comes in four trims: Base, Convenience, Leather and Premium. Safety is a must when driving a car and encore includes dual front airbags, driver and passenger knee airbags, side-curtain airbags and seat-mounted side torso airbags. A rearview camera is also standard, as are 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and GM’s StabiliTrak stability control system. Available features include forward-collision alert, front and rear park assist, and a lane-departure warning system. Buick has come a long way from the granny car. All in all its a great little ride with exceptional price point. For more information Buick Encore or any of the other models visit www.buick.com
