Last week I had the pleasure of meeting some of the Pretzel Crisps ladies, and I was excited when they showed up with some goodies. I was ready to start creating delicious little treats. Before I even met these ladies I knew I wanted to use Pretzel Crisps in my next dessert. I still have plenty of ideas so stay tuned. In the mean time I hope you enjoy this rich, yet crispy dessert. It’s super easy to make and It will sure be a crowd pleaser at your next get together.
Crust Ingredients:
2 Cups of Pretzel Crisps, crushed into crumbles
4 Tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
Filling Ingredients:
1 cup of creamy or crunchy Peanut Butter
1 cup of Sugar
1- 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
1- 8oz pack of cool whip, room temp
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Crush the pretzels until they become crumbles. Pour the melted butter over the top and mix with a fork until well blended. Press into a pie pan and bake until set, 5 to 6 minutes. Afterwards let cool completely before filling.
Beat the peanut butter with the cream cheese until silky smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until well blended. Add in the thawed cool whip and beat until smooth, scraping the sides if needed.
Pour the filling into crust, evening out the top with a spatula, to make it nice an even. Chill for at least an hour or two before digging in.
This looks so delicious! I love cold desserts in the summer, and I’ve been wanting to make one that includes the saltiness of pretzels.
