Taste of the Nation

Taste of the Nation returns again to Philadelphia, Pa and I am honored to have the chance to attend again.  Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation event brings together the area’s top chefs and restaurants who donate their time, talent and passion to end childhood hunger in America. Along with a bounty of culinary delights, guests have the opportunity to sample select wines, specialty cocktails, premium beers, amazing dishes and desserts.  Taste of the Nation in Philadelphia is the biggest showing for No Kid Hungry effort.

I think this benefit is very important for us to attend and to learn about.  Its helping children in need. In Philadelphia alone we had nearly 40% of children leaving in poverty in 2011.  1 in 2 children receives food from a food pantry.  In America teachers report that 3 in 5 children come to school hungry on a regular basis.  It’s hard to say but in America we have 16 million children experiencing the pain of hunger.  Taste of the Nation has done an amazing job and I hope you take the time as well to join us.  The event will take place April 28, 2013.
