Chocolate Nutella cake in a Mug

IMG_20130103_164702

We all want that easy fix of Chocolate cake without having to go through the whole process of making an entire cake.  Tonight was one of those nights where I wanted to make something easy for everyone to enjoy, without having to go through the hassle of cleaning so many dishes up and having to wait for an oven to preheat.  I decided to make a Chocolate nutella cake in mug, which means I put all the ingredients together and put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes and there it was, this lava like moist cake.  I wish I had some ice cream to put on top.  But I think at that point it really didn’t matter.

This recipe can be found in my new cookbook.  Purchase your copy here: http://www.lulu.com/shop/search.ep?keyWords=Homemade+Delish&categoryId=107107 or if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

It looks delicious. When I was in Japan I saw these little sachets of cake mix, that you mix with milk and then pour into a coffee mug and cook in the microwave. It puffs up over the top when you cook it and then it looks a bit like a cappuccino. I’m not sure where you could buy this kind of thing now, maybe on JBox?

I pinned that in recipes I’m going to try. I love individual portions of food. That way I won’t have a lot of leftovers. 🙂

  12. Oh, my. We first had Nutella in Italy and my sons – younger then – loved it so much they had it for breakfast every day at the hotel. When we got home, I lied and told them you couldn’t get Nutella in the US. They believed me, for a while.
