All Bran Treats

IMG_20121230_170049

I have to give credit to my husband who came up with All Bran treats.  The other day I went to the supermarket and picked up marshmallows.  I got home and the hubby says are you going to make my All Bran idea?  I said I might try it out.  Tonight was the night as I started to get everything together.  I had my crazy little chef people in my head saying why don’t you add some craisins and pistachios. Just think with this little yummy treat you’re getting some nutrition and some extra fiber.  Here is it:

1 Stick of butter

1 10.5 oz bag of Marshmallows

dash of cinnamon

1/2 cup of pistachios chopped (you can add more if you would like)

1/2 cup of craisins (you can add more if you would like)

Melt the butter on a med high heat in a pot.  Add the bag of marshmallows until melted.  Add pistachios and mix.  Add craisins and mix.  Turn off stove and add the All Bran mix and then spread out on a baking sheet. Cool and enjoy.
