Sangria

A fun thing to do is to come up with different things to put in Sangria.  Traditional Sangria usually has oranges, lemons, limes etc.  But I wanted something a little more festive.  Since I still had some pomegranate seeds, and granny smith apples left from cooking with I decided to use them in my Sangria and of course I added a little bit of mint to add to that freshness.  The flavors worked out really well and every time a pomegranate seed was swallowed, it would burst in your mouth with wine.  You can either buy Sangria pre-made or make it from scratch. Give it a try.

  1. Great idea. I like that the added fruit makes the drink look so fancy!

  2. Interesting use for pomegranate! I think it is this year’s upwardly trending fruit.
