Ommegang Brewery’s Newest Addition

Yesterday I was delighted to attend an Ommegang event.  This event took place at the Devils Den in Philadelphia, PA, a cool bar with some amazing food.  My compliments to the Chef who came up with some infused Ommegang appetizers.

The event was to welcome a new beer called Scythe & Sickle Harvest Ale.  There was also limited edition Ommegang beer like Seduction, Belgian Independence Day triple, Witbier, and Quad.  My husband and I got to sample all the beer and I fell in love with the Scythe & Sickle Harvest Ale.  It pours an Amber color with an off white head, with a Taste of Caramel, Toasted Grain, some yeast and even some ripe fruit.  This is a great Autumn beer to enjoy.  This goes great with some sweets or cheeses, and I give it a 9 out of 10.  Make sure you check it out and see what you think.

Ommegang’s beer never ceases to amaze me.  They are always trying to come up with new and different ideas to keep their fans happy, and that’s important for a beer drinker in my opinion.  The other beers were pretty good too all with their own special taste.  All in all the people, food and the beer of course made it a great night.

  3. I am in deep lust with Brewery Ommegang. I have yet to find one of their beers that I don’t love. I am just insanely jealous of you right now. . .

  4. Ommegang is one of my favorite breweries. I love their Three Philosophers. I am lucky to live close enough to a bar that almost always has one of their beers on tap!
