A friend of mine came up with such a great idea. He started having a pumpkin Beer Fest, which means everyone brings some kind of different pumpkin brew. There are little cups so you can sample each beer. It’s a great conversation starter especially if you don’t know many of the people in attendance. It’s funny to see how everyone’s pallete reacts. This is a great time of year to enjoy more than 1 beer. Just think, you can have different brew fests like Fall Harvest, Winter or Christmas.
I know it is a bit off topic, but another great idea my friend came up with was his own shoe site. The site offers everything from party shoes, casual boots, accessories and dresses. It’s a must checkout website especially with the holidays sneaking up on us. Go to http://www.myshoeconnection.com.
Here is the list of some of the brews that are in the pictures. Some of them maybe doubles and one that is missing is Blue Moon Pumpkin.
1. Brewworks Devious Imperial Pumpkin
2. Bluepoint Pumpkin Ale
3. River Horse Pumpkin
4. Weyerbache Imperial Pumpkin Ale
5.Wolaver’s Organic Pumpkin Ale
6.Terrapin Pumpkinfest
7.New Holland Ichabod Pumpkin
8. Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin
9.Shipyard Pumpkinhead
10. Harpoons Pumpkin UFO
11. Blue Moon Pumpkin (which is not in the photos)
I tasted the Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin a couple days ago; pretty full flavor. But, then again, I’m a light beer girl… usually don’t go for the dark ones. 🙂 Great idea you’ve got here.
I just love ALL of the Samuel Adams varieties, but I haven’t HAD Harvest Pumpkin yet — have to track some down. I wish we had a Wegman’s nearby or another place where you can put together mixed six packs!
this is interesting. this is my first time to hear about pumpkin ale 🙂
Maine microbreweries make some pretty good pumpkin beere that would have gone well at this tasting.
Wow!! I didn’t realize how resourceful pumpkin and beer are! Interesting
I might be obsessed with pumpkin beer! I can’t wait to try the ones you posted. Thank you for sharing 🙂
