Friday, June 1st was the start of Philly Beer week. I felt so honored to be there as part of the media and to be able to share with all my followers what an awesome event this is. Mayor Michael Nutter was also there reading the Declaration of Beer. There was over 40 plus beers to try on tap with great music. From Yards brewery to Sly Fox they had it all. The atmosphere was GREAT, and everyone seemed to be having fun. The event was held across the street from the Liberty bell at the visitors Center. For souvenirs I was given a goodie bag with some tickets and a nice glass that said Philly beer week, which is what I used to taste all my beer in. Check out some of the pictures and to find out more on this event visit http://www.phillybeerweek.org/ Click on the images below to enlarge them.
I wish I could talk myself into dropping a day of work and getting my butt up there, but I can’t afford to right now. Some of the events sound so good, and you guys are all probably having in blast up there.
As an aside I love how the main picture for your post is a keg of Delaware beer. Thanks for representing!
Looks loke a GREAT week, though all too afraid that I would over indulge! 😉
Still trying to find time to celebrate Beer Week!
Is this what heaven looks like?
Love your beer category. We have great craft brews in Pittsburgh too. For sure better than Philly’s. But then all things Pittsburgh are better than Philly? Football, Hockey, Baseball? Ha HA!
