This past weekend as we all know was St. Patricks Day. I decided that I wanted to try some Irish beer and I’m not talking about Guiness. I wanted something different. So I went over to my favorite distributor, Northeast Beer in Philadelphia, PA. These guys just know what they are talking about when it comes to your interest in Beer. They really know their stuff. So he pointed out two Irish beers, that I have to say were pretty darn good.
The Hooker Irish Style Red Ale is reddish in color, with tastes of caramel and toffee, accented by a medium hop. It’s great served ice cold. This beer was definitely a great suggestion. Went well with snacks and a burger. I give this beer a 8 out of 10.
I just tried this one myself a couple of weeks ago at a bar near me. They had it on draft and it tasted delicious.
